  I bought this lens, why is a “portrait” lens on my K / T 7D when my Sigma 28-70 f / 2 EX 8 “Pro” lens got me in a landfill. The lens has been dropped or something similar (that I know), but suddenly everything was vague and not focused at infinity at all. . . but this is a problem with Sigma people are so lost.

  needs a good “portrait” length of the lens in my 7D, I chose this for 50 of the Sony f / 1 4. I had already Maxxum 50 F / 1 4 years ago, but was able to get rid of as soon as the zoom. Big mistake. In any case, because my Sigma lens repair needed, and I had to shoot a portrait of the way, I got this lens, and I must say it was a worthwhile investment.

  Open the lens is tack sharp point-of-focus. Down to stop between f / 2 8 and f / 4, makes the head and shoulder shots a typical adult lens provides a stunning portraits. . . nice contrast, beautiful color, and of course a very nice sharp de-focused background.

  I wrote a very average film-format Mamiyas (RZ67 and 7II), and have very high expectations for image quality. When you buy this 50 F / 1 4, I realized that not sacrificing image quality of my 35 mm cameras (film and digital), using “off brand” lenses such as Sigma and Tokina. Do not get me wrong. I am not saying that the Tokina and Sigma make absolutely rubbish. Only I did not realize that the picture quality can be better than my 35 mm camera.

  So far I think that the sensor K / T 7D was only moderate. And I am sure that some of view, yet. But I’m here to tell you that the 50 F / 1 4 me to prove that the problems I thought was the whole body was a reality in all lenses.

  I am currently replacing all the off-brand lenses my “Pro for Sony / Minolta and Sony / Zeiss lenses. Today (14Nov07), I bought a Sony 16 χιλιοστών f / 2 8 Lens (SAL-16F28) to replace my 17 mm lens Tokina. Tokina lens just does not cut it when it comes to image sharpness and accuracy. I hope that will carry 16 mm-par 50 in my f / 1 4 If this happens, then the next step is the Sony / Zeiss 85 f / 1 4, and finally, the Sony / Minolta 80-200 f / 2 8 (replace my Tokina 80-200 f / 2 8 ATX PRO).

  I know that some people are not as critical as I can for image sharpness, resolution and contrast. And for those people, I say … to each his own. However, experience and expectations I am very high, and I think there should be no compromise. Spend the extra money and buy the best glass you … why not make a difference.

  This update from Sony, Konica Minolta 50 χιλιοστά-F1. 4 is a welcome addition for those who want to describe the low light or close the Sports Gallery Candids.

  While the Sony A100, and offers anti-shake system, a large lens opening is a couple of different interests. First, sports figures require fast shutter speeds to stop action. Although the system can help you keep the camera steady, as the shutter speeds will blur images of action sports (or 3 years running around the house).

  larger hole, more than 4x more light than any zoom alpha also receives more light from focusing on the system. This allows for both faster and more accurate focusing.

  Another advantage is the increase in flash. Each hole is growing larger than Flash is 40%.

  Many Another improvement is the low depth of field (giving more inaccurate background). Used wisely, this can actually some of the photos “pop”.

  A small drawback is that this is a great focal length of 35mm, but quite strange on Alpha. It is a bit long “normal” lens, and a little short portrait lens.

  This is my first meeting with a fixed focal length lens for Sony. Upon receipt of used SAL1780 and SAL75300 zoom lens with my Alpha 350, I finally decided to use the money for a fixed focal length SAL50F14, since a good estimate of the lens is achieved.

  This lens costs about twice SAL1780 little more than SAL75300, but what it can offer more than two zoom lenses is undeniable: bright, clear images of gloomy weather and the strong influence defocussing is a small F-numbers (between F1. 4-2. 0).

  On 50 mm (75 mm APS-C DSLRs), the lens can easily meet the entire face of the CCD camera is not serious distortions. Therefore, the data can actually stand on their own portraits in a small number of F-blur behind it all away.

  Color abberation and purple fringing are invisible at 14 my 2 CCD in normal use, and I was pleasantly surprised to find that this lens does not include coatings Carl Zeiss and ED (Extra Low Dispsersion ) data.

  If you have a chance to test this lens before you buy, do not try it. Lens blur effect is so strong that appears in 3 “LCD, and a few F-you can call to connect all the way to ISO 100 to make a very quiet, high-quality images in dimly-lit environments. Under bright sun and a small F-number, the lens stops at almost every moving object giving your shutter speed as high as 1 / 4000

  I bought this lens some time ago and have used a lot, mainly to do portrait shots. I must say I was surprised, it is better to be like. It is very clear, to produce clear and sharp images in good colors. I must say that compared to Canon lenses in the same category Lens for Sony will come out winner. I really think that the guys Sony makes an excellent work of the SLR camera.

  I bought this lens to try my Alfa 350 images less internal flash moving more and my 2 year old, and the results were amazing!

  acidity is much better than I ever had in my kit lenses, and speed through the lens that I am not sure, or to a noisy blur of dark images.

  highly recommended.
