I am a professional photographer, and when I decided to go digital, I bought a dozen books on the subject. This leaves the other powder.

one of the greatest strengths is that the author explains with reference to digital photography film. This allows for quick understanding of youth by comparing it with the familiar.

But if you’re new to photography, this book is still for you. The author has a real gift for explaining complicated processes in a way that allows them to easily understand and use. And to understand what you need to know, not professional for sleep.

omnivorously read, but I am rarely impressed enough to write again. If I could only keep a photo book – digital or film – that would be.

And thanks to the author insists that digital photography has created a digital camera, no scanner. I am so tired of books that are supposed to be for digital photography, which is really digital manipulation of film showings.

Do yourself a big favor: If you are interested in this subject, BTB. It will not be disappointed.

As director of photography and digital Imagaging, I have found it difficult to recommend texbooks which includes all the main points of capture, transportation, printing, storage, archiving and retrieval of digital images. Usually no need to list a number of items to cover these various topics. Long Ben is not only the work of the Complete Digital Photgraphy, but it is very concise, logical and easy to understand way. This book is timely, informative, accurate and complete. I highly recommend for anyone wanting to switch to digital photography and art. I would particularly like to thank its use in teaching how to value. I have to pay next year, this is the text.

I’ve noticed, Complete Digital Photography excellent write more digital imaging devices today off of Ben! As is well developed filmmaker, I had my eye is the recent advances in digital photography for some time, and this book will help anyone, experienced or beginner to understand the depth of the very terms of digital photography. At this writing does not go all the special features of digital cameras on the market today is very exceptional equipment review sites online play this role. Instead, the book provides excellent material on how digital cameras work, what parts are common and are available in various models of how to meet the requirements of receiving the machine, in particular, “similarity” and “differences” between digital photography and traditional film-based photography. In addition, it provides good basic information about the photo, which applies to taking a picture of each instrument. The book contains actual photographs disk sample CDRom, and a curriculum so that you can actually try the techniques explained, and to examine their own computer / monitor or scanner, and the installation of equipment, quality and results tutorials for image editing, etc., set out in the paper. There are some excellent video editing Adobe Photoshop, and lessons with a trial version of this popular image of the CD program. I could rattle on about this book, but I just want to be brief and say that if you’re serious about digital photography and / or interested in making transition from film to digital photography or just to get the best results digital equipment, this book is too long to help you achieve your goals. . . highly recommended!

This book is a good all-in-a first book for those getting involved in digital photography. This is especially true for those who learned photography while. There are two main reasons: First, it has color illustrations throughout the book to describe the ideas that most people can really benefit from it. Second, is the author of a technical writer, not a photographer.

Most people would be better served by well-illustrated book is written by the photographer, and less emphasis on digital photography and more. Options Freeman Complete Guide to Digital Photography (a good depth, but requires some knowledge of photography) and Bavister Digital Photography (long, short, clear, and the first use of photography and digital aspects).

will notice that the estimates here, but positive, written by experienced photographers who simply want to learn digital and technical aspects, the people who have read a number of other books already, and the trainer, so this is just a supplement to face to face teaching. So if you need to match their own, this book may be better for you than others suggest.

This book has already been much criticism, but I can not resist adding. As its name advertises, this is indeed a very comprehensive book covering almost all digital photography. In fact, “perfect” is not necessarily a virtue, but it’s no problem at all “Complete Digital Photography.” This is another piece of work.

Author Ben Long says very clearly, is firmly on the matter, and an excellent sense of the best ways to organize. In addition, the book has been produced and rich with illustrations and diagrams before / after photos. Accompanting CD contains effective educational programs and images of the sample is typed text.

Like other reviewers, positioning the film to digital photography, I discovered that much of what I knew I no longer valid for: depth of field, color, white balance, and resolution as all the different aspects of shooting digitally. Long provides just enough theory for the reader to understand why this happens, but never lose their connection to the theory of practical consequences. This is reflected in the opening chapters of the book is earned. From a description of how a digital camera – clearer, more accessible description I have seen otherwise – long-term change in a brief discussion of basic photography, and then how to evaluate an image (eg, noise , definition). Only then will take, how to choose a digital camera, but the preparation should, therefore, that the reader has a better understanding of the impact of selection is on the road.

This is the strong point of the book. It has been discussed in shooting digital photos or edit on your computer, Long will always be a clear link between the camera settings, or using the software and its impact on the image. I will do by telling the reader not only how to make something happen, but why this happens. Nou-text examples and seminars on CD, the reader has great potential for active learning in the process.

Two small gaps in the book. First of all, the discussion Long based image editing software Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Photoshop Elements. This is understandable, given that the preponderance of programs in their own niche market, but readers who use other software to look after themselves from time to time. Secondly, although the book is copyright in 2005, Long used Photoshop Elements 2 later (the latest version 4, version 3 is available both before 2005) are significant improvements, however, contains many features of Photoshop and tools. Readers of the Elements 3 or 4 is always double-check whether the properties of large constraints are now available in Photoshop Elements, too.

If someone really remote digital photography, especially in relation to a fixing of meters to a digital SLR, this is definitely the book to my reference library.
