I have a Casio Exilim H10 about 2 weeks, during which I was on vacation takes a lot of pictures. I chose this camera over rival super-zoom in your pocket for several reasons. 1) range telephoto lens is good – not so much as the Canon or the Panny, but many handheld photography. I appreciate the great lens of a candid photograph – even if the subject is aware that you are photographing them, the extra distance makes the topic less embarrassing. 2) The camera allows plenty of manual control – expecially like the opportunity to focus on these hard to describe (this also remove the focus lag). 3) The camera has the ability to focus quickly (important for me because the shutter lag drives me nuts when Candids). Standard focus is quite fast, and is a quick way to focus, which is very concentrated in a few quick shots wrong. 4) It is small – easily fits in my pocket or a small belt bag (Tamrac Neoprene 3805). It is small enough to take anywhere, so I’m always for me when I saw an opportunity. 5) The duration of the video HD – the last real advance from the camera.

I was very happy shooting and H10. This is my first camera was the optical image stabilization – a wonderful invention for those of us who love lenses, or available light photography. Almost all the shots, day and night I was at the disposal of light. If the flash is off the menu will remain open when the camera is, we cycled on and off (to avoid embarrassing them inadvertently flashes museums, etc.). The majority view is that the zoom is too fast, making it difficult to frame precisely. Although usually take a wide-angle shots, I can not find outside the wide angle useful more than once, as expected. I do not use “best efforts” scene modes, and I think the composition and the luminous landscape of useful tricks. I wish there was more direct buttons (or buttons) properties, such as a timer, brightness, focus and flash mode. I hope it was an optical viewfinder, but not a direct competitor to one of the two. Not yet had the opportunity to critically evaluate the image quality, but the images look good on the computer screen. [. . . ] So the camera may not be as good as the other is larger sensor (and therefore larger), but the images are good for me.

Update 1: We find the good things in this camera. It can be configured to remember the last zoom, which was long ago – the big Quantifying the rocker button to quickly change commonly used as the (I control the brightness of the exposure (EV change), but may alternatively be used to measure , white balance, ISO setting or a timer (but only one of them).
Update 2: One month later, still happy. For those of you who have questions to download pdf manual support site Casio. There always clear, however. It took a while to realize that the turning point where “on” your team does not always tell the camera to change the setting, that says to remember how it was set to be the last time when the camera was. Be smart, but a neat feature when realized.

? I am very pleased with this camera – can not be perfect but is surprisingly good .

I am also extremely compact Casio EX-Z850 before and I am satisfied for the most part. I will try to buy the EX-H10 was to find a very compact camera with long zoom and good image quality. The length and width is approximately the same as those of competing Lumix, Canon, and the Stylus 9000 models. Stylus 7010 is slightly smaller and lighter, but the bad reviews. Casio EX-H10 has about an ounce or two lighter than competing cameras, 6 8 ounces, and almost half inch less in depth 0 9 inches. This makes the difference. However, it feels heavier than the EX-Z850 and a bit bulkier. Recently tested Stylus TZ7 (also known as ZS3) and were significantly more burdensome for 8 ounces and 1 / 2 “thicker.

The image quality of photos is good. It is this that it takes a good SLR most of the cells, but also enjoyable. Zoom from 24 mm – good for us, who are seeking a wide-angle camera. operation is simple. The video is more than satisfactory. I do not like images from a flash, but when it is turned off, the quality is good again.

The camera slips easily into a pocket, has a huge shot battery capacity – supported in 1000, did not dispute that. sold me was the combination of very small size, light weight, good image quality and a long zoom lens.

I do this because of the camera optical zoom 10x, the relatively small size of the super-zoom camera, and got great battery life. No preview store your camera before you buy on Amazon, but the only thing that allows me to give this camera a full five stars: the making of the unit. Clearly, people engineer these cameras do not use. Otherwise, it will make the battery charge, “Cube”, like many other camera companies have not “flip out” jack, which is the same fine except when traveling. Instead, this Casio (and I assume other Casios as well) is still a huge four foot cable to plug into the module side payments that, when wrapped in size by more than one camera and charger. This is ridiculous stupid design, and are too expensive to produce. Why do it? I am almost full backup camera and sent back just because of this, but decided that may not have the charger for anything but very large distances. Casio decided to take a break and keep the camera (I still think it is a very big pimple in front of the camera).

will continue to explore all the possibilities of this camera, which is much larger than any of the four or as digital cameras, I have owned in the past. The menu is easy to use and so far the photos are excellent. I love the 10x zoom to record my sincere pictures likes better than to make shots.

    - Reviews –
You can see the original picture with the camera, but I saw some things (like the comment below) that have improved my opinion this camera.

menu is slightly confusing move, and that is why I have forgotten the settings you can configure other settings can be saved permanently. The digital zoom and better decision also, but is not intended to save by default. Therefore, I am disappointed.

The image quality is good, and after a few losing hand, I think I have a better understanding of what settings work for public use. I remain skeptical about the usefulness of BS features, such as lighting and scene changes so often. But if you spend a few hours in a particular environment in which it is likely to be convenient and save time between on / off. And yes, the battery is good, but I still prefer to download the USB or a standard size battery so I have one less cable to get around. However, I can handle it. Furthermore, I stand by my complaint to lose all settings when the camera is a battery in it.

    – Original –
As with the other reviews here are some nice benefits of this compact model. It is a very versatile, and most of the settings are easy to understand. However, some are more sophisticated about photography, and is not well explained in the manual for beginners / amateurs like me. I have a general understanding of the nature photography, but if the camera offers this level of control, some general explanation should be included.

Also, some settings are not maintained between power-ons. One of the key that makes under my skin is “Digital Zoom” if not 3x digital kicks after the visual. I have to disable every time I get a camera, which is annoying. Optical zoom, the movement is good, but once the kicks to digital, photo-quality tanks by pixellation.

Passing through some of the manual available, including a wide range of “best effort” (or, more precisely, B * ** S ***) scenarios. Basically, take your pick among the 30 or 40 different kinds of galleries Best Shot scene and the camera automatically sets the scene. I just do not care if they are honest photo op or briefly, since the choice of making myself a better year, and I completely useless outside of the fixed image sitting in accordance with the conditions. And if that is what you have, chances are you need a professional D-SLR. Sometimes it’s just better to take the easy point / shoot photograph and touch the post. Trying to make a point / shoot camera to do all the work before the image is not usually leads to disappointment and revenue.

agree with the review referred to in decision unit. On a ridiculously bulky design and the requirement of the battery outside the camera (which causes have been canceled, apparently because there is no internal CMOS battery for storing redundant information such as date and time of your general preferences), but the battery has its own type, which means you’re stuck buying a second or third batteries for longer periods away from their sockets, and when the battery drains, you can not use the camera until the battery is recharged (if you do not distribute additional batteries – but even better to be quick on the switch). And by the way, Casio type battery: $ 50 Compatible with: $ 20.

features attracted me to the camera: EyeFi support, compact design, features (and skullduggery instability understand how to manage these settings), and the price. I am very excited about this device, but I managed to replace most of the gaps. Those who are still annoying but tolerable. It simply will not tolerate my Casio on top of the list for the first time.

Lot zoom, and so many features pocket-size camera. There is much footage. Wide zoom, especially when the state of compression should be tight, this technique does not match the large camera lens SLR, but the camera does an excellent, high quality images in a variety of conditions, operating a wide range of automatic and manual modes and it is easy to use. We have our daughter, a teenager interested in photography, so we wanted something easy to carry, can make a good impression for you automatically, but manual and creative enough to try and fill the bill. If this machine had about a couple of years ago, I probably would have had my digital SLR, which I love, but hey, this is a huge and changing lenses distract from the photo.

Most of the “Super Zoom” or “Ultra Zoom” cameras are not wide angle wide angle end of zoom. 35-mm photographic film, the standard wide-angle is (was?) From the approximately 28 mm focal length, and most of the super zoom digital cameras seem to go only 35 or 38 mm (film camera equivalent) focal length, almost “normal” (not really wide angle), and out a long telephoto lengths, which are difficult to use because the camera shake (as it is difficult to be stable and strong pair of binoculars), which I think is a stupid option. Image Stability Control to help, but the fact is that very often remote and compression utility. This camera, however, comes true, a good level-out is very respectable, but still available for telephoto.

Some of the special effects and editing of the camera image and places taken super. My daughter is very serious cooking and the famous “gourmet food” mode, which is quite unique.

I have seen the Casio cameras that are friends, always have high quality amazing video feature, although it appears full-size screens, and full of features. This is no exception.

This camera bridges, mostly small, pocket automatic cameras with more advanced cameras. You should not compare with the professional, full-size digital cameras SLR, but most often possible to meet every need and condition (except that it is not underwater!). Built-in flash, and all embedded flash unit is limited, and such, but the magnitude of the ISO “film” speed control, manual, and Zoom offers a rich set of tools to use, and may choose to default, “false” mode Auto. < ; br /> < , br /> In short, an attractive, convenient, easy to use, flexible and very powerful camera. Highly recommended.
