  This review is based off several days of use and comprehensive manual. If you want to see the data and the true picture of the camera (which I suggest you do), we suggest you visit sites that offer this type of extensive reviews [. . . ] First, to check what seems to be common to all camera CONS.

  POP UP FLASH. Unlike some basis, this camera is not difficult to handle / not hold and a pop-up flash on the road or feel flimsy. Canon has made a declaration in three models for solving the problem (eg, fingerprint indentation on the control behind the camera, turned back towards the right side of the camera body, and about 3 / 4 inch space set the finger behind the Flash. I have not seen yet side by side comparison of competing SX200IS – TZ7. It was a picture night time in the big city. This was hands down the camera. And the video quality would be satisfied with the quality – If you think 720 or Blu-ray quality.   2 Activity. You can use immediately, even if you have never used a camera before . Do not worry about what camera you will soon be obsolete – all the cameras receive an annual adjustment.   ** If you are interested in comparisons, I recently compared SX200IS vs Panasonic TZ5 [...]. Unbelievable, I was able to find the same scene shot in these two different cameras. It’s hard to find. Now, is that the TZ5 is really the most important competitor SX200IS is an interesting comparison. If you do not select this site, and in particular the statement “City of Night Shot” and ISO 400 setting. SX200IS I think it is much clearer and gives a better picture. Again, the SX200IS is a winner for me!

  I got this before the weekend and proved to be well rounded camera. It is not as small as ELPH, but is still only a small and lightweight to carry around in your pocket or purse for easy access. 12x Zoom is an excellent and well-lit situations, the digital zoom creates a clear, sharp images. Offset is that you lose the F2. 8 hole 3x other camera.

  tried most of the scene settings, and all produce slightly different results. AUTO setting to use a higher shutter speed and ISO setting other than a portrait. When running the program, you can adjust the setting ISO 80 or 100 and adjust the shutter of the camera. Foliage regulation does not add the green. If you have enough light indoors is better and faster shutter speeds when the snapshot Night use slower shutter speed and produces a better image of low light. All the dark scenes, but the camera does not usually show more than one shot so I ended up using the exposure adjustment – 1 / 3 or -2 / 3 of the substitute.

  I really liked the ability to change the settings to get good out out of the picture in various situations, you can not always access ELPH and zoom lets you frame the image from almost any distance. The images are clear, bright and fair basis with other Canon cameras in its class. Not many opportunities to play, such as face detection and blink detection and image stabilization works well.

  If you are ready to step up and shoot camera that offers more control, better zoom, but it’s still in your pocket SX200 IS is worth putting on your list to check.

  Canon SX200

  – I read in another post that someone wants to try the latest camera – Me too! Check out my other reviews as I am always on the market, P & S, which takes at least 720HD video. I used T500 Sony and Canon G7 most PIC I / vids up! Since I am the last review, I have tried at least 6 other cameras and camcorders – all of which is returned to one reason or another, let’s see – there is: HZ10 Samsung, Panasonic TZ5, Sanyo 1010, Leica D-Lux4, Clux3 Leica , Sony CX12, several other cameras at your local dealer. I have good news! This new Canon SX200 is my “go to camera – at least until something better comes along (I am reliably T500/G7 to rest). I give is a 5 star hotel – is perfect, though! No, but I have to be great.

  Pro are 1) Great picture quality – Indoor pictures are usually very good, low noise, nothing below 400ISO, Canon G7 is responsible, much better than what my Sony T500, so good – if not better than the old Panasonic TZ5. Outdoor – yet – what to expect from Canon, crisp, clean, good color, nicely exposed. There should be fooled about the manual settings, but it’s nice.
  2) I like the design and is easy to keep (no leakage at Big Fat my fingers!). Other cameras are easy to keep your finger over the microphone or flash, but not here.
  3) Flash – I do not care about the pop-up. No big deal for me! Works good too!
  4) The menu is fairly easy to navigate – no problem.
  1) HD Video – I like the video quality, a nice full screen playback on my 40 “Samsung HDTV and it looks good desktop. playback is easy and smooth, no problem. (not Diggin ‘Digital Zoom – appear in the ILO) .. Codec actually works with Windows Media Player does nothing Hick-ups or the Wiggles. It is not perfect (for example, «Sunrise Earth” HD-quality), but quite comfortable shooting the children and grandkid etc. Nice HDTV to play again. The sound quality is mono only, but SOOOO better than the Panasonic TZ5 (deal breaker is my TZ5), not the comparison. T500 Sony to win both the sound quality – is the stereo! Remember during the video, you can not optically zoom the camera, but you can zoom digitally – not great, but get a little closer if you need it.

  7) Zoom nice and soft – the focus is fast and accurate.
  Battery – very good – I think it shows the last day – I bought more just in case.
  9) autofocus works like a charm, even in low light – not a problem.
  10) Macro to look good – got good shots of flowers and roses in my yard.
  11) easy to carry around – not big and not small either – just right!
  12) Overall quality and the atmosphere is great! It seems well built and should be up to many trips and excursions for children and the environment.

  Disadvantages:
  1) No Optical zoom and video. If this machine was able to zoom optically, it was as good as it gets the point and shoot HD video! Come on Canon – what with it! Panasonic can do it, why do not you? You want customers to jump ship when a new Panasonic TZ7 comes out ??????? If someone could ……. Please, please, please, dress, and this will help. Perhaps Canon will do a firmware update, and allows the optical zoom. I can not stand the noise of the zoom motor is !!!!!!!! If you can hack the firmware – if you can not remove the pop-up flash that would be great!
  2) Indoor shots a little soft, but almost all of P & S is the SX200 is a really good, though.
  3) function AUTO, the camera automatically (ie, “auto” mode) selects which in his view, needs a better image. For example, if you really close to the object, it automatically switches to Macro then come back in other ways if the second picture – this takes some time (maybe a second or two) to change. I am not affected because it is what is to happen, you only need a “learning curve” to understand what is happening.

  Anyway, those are the only things that really stand out. Of course, other features that I like very much, and others that I rarely use.

  geeks only one side of the camera, I have read comments from people who agree with some and disagree with others. For each of Tech has quirks (like the flash pop up when the camera is turned on, or feels slippery, or anything else). It is difficult to try something new, but all the cameras I’ve tried, I can tell you some pictures (I tried all of the pictures was taken comparisons) if they are to keep it or not. SX200 was the first time in a long time, keeping inetested, testing, and ultimately to assert that the controller! interested in the view – just nice for me! Oh, one more thing – Do not tell me to go and my DSLR and HD camcorder – that is there!

  INFORMATION
  many people compare this Panasonic Lumix DMC-ZS3? I bought one so I have two. After spending some time every I have concluded that despite the similarities, which is different from the camera to different audiences. Here is where everyone excels:

  PANASONIC

  * You will receive a very powerful point-and-click / Do not think about the camera, can not win. Intelligent Auto is almost always take great pictures in virtually all circumstances. Canon Auto does not even come close to the ESP and internal photographs will need to choose some scenes – or use manual controls – to get a good picture.

  * Video: True optical zoom + video support AVCHD format. IMHO Canon’s video is really a game, than those without optical zoom.

  * Features: This also goes around Canon Panasonic:
  – Very fast
  burst – takes 3 ratios on its side ( eg normal + wide)
  – double shooting modes
  – Focus Lock (E. G. rolling head)

  < , br /> CANON

  * Manual Camera Controls (eg, ISO settings) Frankly, I have never used them before, but I am disappointed with the Panasonic does not contain anything because I want to open more of them. I can not understand that this is a big gap if you are half a professional photographer.

  Image quality

  * Auto-Point and-shoot: Panasonic. I have photos of big business, poor lighting, etc. I never thought possible (for me). If you know a bit ISO, etc. This is the camera for you.

  * Manual and the best pictures: Looking LOT of samples, it is clear Canon has a slight advantage to Panasonic here. I am sure this is because the car can last only a picture of how a professional photographer. I’ve always been a part of everything good cameras Canon (so far), it seems that the best image quality, and samples I’ve seen seems to suggest, remains valid.

  Realistically, however, most will not take time off manual control to adjust each image – where I am sure the Panasonic is often best photos from Canon (ESP indoors or in low light).

  Therefore, even if the gun owners could be 5 years’ d recommend Panasonc hands, with one exception:

  ? If you want to learn more about professional photography, and manual camera settings – but not ready for a real professional camera, Canon, can be a really good position began as the Panasonic does not have that.

  I am keeping both – but you Panasonic is one of the practices of 95% of the time.

  I’ve owned half a dozen of Cannon digital cameras over the years, this is the first I am not entirely impressed.

  CONS < , br /> * Auto-mode: You have a defective camera, the automatic mode is useless for photos interior if it is not. Automatic seems to be particularly aggressive, with a shutter speed, etc. The problem here are the settings that usually means it will keep the rock-steady camera, or you can get a very blurry ad images.

  Also (and state auto) Internal Pictures are soft, but a lot of noise, and the colors are off.

  Doing some experiments, you can avoid these problems by changing the image of another condition, such as indoors. But, IMHO, that will win the whole purpose of the program Auto. Yes, this is a simple turn the knob to the right mode – but I think that disqualifies it is true, “and shoot” camera.

  I think this would be a good camera for people who want more control over their images – but not a professional photographer. But I can not recommend it for anyone who wants to just push the button and take a picture.

  First of all, let me begin by saying that I’m a fan of Canon-boy. I love their product line, and shoot category. I have owned several Powershots Canon, and this is my newest acquisition.

  gripe ONLY:
  not part of the above automatically dropped down to a 4-star review. This is because if we are to put a mini-HDMI port for the camera. . . We also need the cable. CREATIVE even a mini-HDMI to HDMI cable with the camcorder Vado. Come on Canon! And the memory card to start playing out of the box. . whats up with that? $ 349 for this camera certainly can not do enough to throw Canon memory card. . and cable. Several gripes. . . now is good.

  Benefits:
  I love this camera view. Look at the pictures I have attached and learn. Canon has refined lines of active picture-so much to look professional cameras.

  zoom (12x optical zoom) is surprisingly fast compared to other cameras (TZ5 Lumix), which is a lens, which is about this size.   Amazing automatically remove red eye. . . . tested on the eyes of my daughter, it shows the characteristic red-eye camera to shame. Finally, dont need to do something by post to edit his eyes. YEAH!

  I’m going to get the image data when I had more time to experiment with different shooting environments. So far, I see that this camera to shine a bright light, but it seems some noise in data loss for more than ISO 200 in low light. Subject to review for updates.

  Disadvantages:
  again not included in his mind.
  No cable HDMI.
  Battery life could be better (not involved in the switch).
  Flash takes a little time to recover after baking.
  optical zoom is not available in function Video (Lumix TZ5 allow me)
