i would say no. When some company release their product they have to be sure for the quality, i meen the branded one. just go with the quality product and not the cheep product. then they will give that type of result only.

Even the Fujifilm 1GB xD-Picture Card (M-Type) only costs $25 at B&H. There are other reputable brands (Sandisk, Lexar, Olympus) and the most expensive TWO GB card they sell is still only $41.95. The most expensive 1 GB xD card they sell is $29.95.
Unless there is something weird about your A120 that I can’t find, ignore the sales clerk and buy elsewhere.

fuji’s take xD style cards. You can use any brand of xD card, which are a bit more expensive than SD cards- but there really aren’t that many manufacturers of xD cards.
FWIW- you can get a 2Gbyte card for less than $35 off Amazon- with free shipping, and the 1Gbyte cards are close to $20. So- they’re a little bit more money than an SD, but not that much.
The H cards are a bit faster than the M cards- but in most fuji cameras, it won’t make a difference.
